Raccoon Family Safely Removed from Fireplace
We got a call about a raccoon stuck in a fireplace, and when we checked it out, she had babies tucked up inside. The chimney liner was smooth, so she couldn’t get back out on her own, which made things a little more complicated. We were able to safely get access and remove the babies, then gave mom a way to climb out so she could get back to them.
Once she made it out, she came right down the outside of the chimney to where we had her babies set up in a safe, warm spot. She grabbed one and took off, and we left the rest overnight to give her time. The next night, she came back and moved every last baby. That’s always our goal, to keep the family together and get them out of the home safely without causing more damage or stress.
